Webpages. What can we say about them. Give 'em what they are looking for. That is the best advise. When you break ti down like that, it sounds so simple. But it actually is. Figure out what you want to get across on your pages. Make it clean, precise, to the point. Outline what they want to see on your site. Or what you are selling. Decide if you want information only and leave them a way to contact you, or a price you want to advertise. Either way, there is no right or wrong, you just have to decide what you want to do.
Next, hand it over to the experts. Believe me, I've tried to be inexperienced in web design back in the day, and it nearly did me in. But these days, you have tons of people who can do the work for you. Give it the colors you want. The fit, the feel, the warm and fuzzy you want, and not take you for all you've got.
